Историческая справка
The Fokker Dr.I was a German single-seat triplane fighter introduced during the First World War. Its three narrow wings gave it excellent low-speed manoeuvrability and a strong rate of climb, although the aircraft was not especially fast. The compact triplane became closely associated with the aerial battles of 1917 and the development of purpose-built fighter aircraft.
The aircraft is also popularly linked with Manfred von Richthofen, the German ace better known as the Red Baron, who flew the Fokker Dr.I. While the type was produced in relatively limited numbers and served for a short period, its unusual three-wing layout and place in early aviation history have made it one of the era’s most recognizable aircraft. This Sluban model celebrates that distinctive design in an accessible building-brick format.
