MIG-17 Russian Fighter Jet

The Sluban M38-B0983 MiG-17 Russian Fighter Jet brings one of the early jet age’s most recognizable combat aircraft to the building table. With 583 pieces, this aviation set offers an engaging project for builders aged 8 and up, while also providing a distinctive display model for collectors interested in Cold War aircraft and Soviet-era design.

The model captures the purposeful character of the MiG-17 through its swept-wing silhouette, compact fuselage, prominent nose intake and sharply shaped tail assembly. Its proportions and streamlined profile give the finished aircraft a convincing high-speed appearance, making it an appealing centerpiece for an aviation shelf, desk or military-themed collection. The build also offers plenty of opportunity to appreciate how individual building bricks can be combined into clean aerodynamic forms.

Part of Sluban’s aviation range, this set is designed for hands-on construction rather than passive display alone. The 583-piece format provides a satisfying build with enough detail to reward careful assembly, while the completed jet reflects the disciplined styling associated with Soviet aircraft engineering. Whether you are expanding a collection of compatible construction bricks, exploring military aviation history or looking for an accessible project for a younger enthusiast, the M38-B0983 delivers a memorable aircraft model with strong visual presence.
